Since late March I have been dropping by Klehm once or twice a week to watch the trees and wildflowers bloom. There's always something new. Click the photos for larger versions. And if you're in the Rockford area, be sure to stop by Klehm and do some exploring of your own.

Forgive my weak attempts at photography and, even more, my forays into wildflower identification. If I have it wrong, please let me know!

Waterleaf

Species not certain. I want to say Virginia waterleaf (H. virginianum); it's that or one of several very similar waterleaf species. Some of my photos suggest these were intermixed with a more broadleaved (less deeply lobed) species. If so, the bossoms were identical to my eye and I confused them at the time.
